Thanasis Triaridis was born in 1970 in Thessaloniki. He has been an activist for the gypsies’ social rights from 1996 until 2001 and since 2009 is a conscientious objector. Since 2000 he has published 55 books, including narrations and essays. For many years he has been organizing seminars on various aspects of Western culture as well as theatrical writing workshops. All his books and plays are freely available on triaridis.gr and his translated texts are on triaridis.com. He has published (printed or online) 21 theatrical works (among them Mengele, Oedinus, Lebensraum, Leopold trilogy, Football, HIV, etc.) These have resulted in more than 30 shows in Athens and other cities in Greece, Germany and Cyprus. His works have been translated into English, French and German. In 2019, along with Vangelis Hatzigiannidis and Dimitris Tarlow, they started the Theater Writing School, of Poreia Theater.
